Tangram Challenge!
A tangram is a Chinese geometric puzzle consisting of a square cut into seven pieces. Here we are trying to arrange the pieces to make shapes we know.
Geometry in our everyday lives!
Mrs O'Hanlon brought a beehive in to show us. We were in the middle of our geometry lesson.
Here are some of our comments and observations:
Veni: Bees are clever because they make hexagons. They put the baby bees in the hexagons.
Ayva: The hexagon shapes looked perfect.
Jamie: I found out that the hexagon shapes were tessellating.

Session with Kelly Sports
Room 18 had fun taking part in the rotation of activities run by Kelly Sports.
We hear they're coming to the picnic too and can't wait to join in!
