Tangram Challenge!
















A tangram is a Chinese geometric puzzle consisting of a square cut into seven pieces. Here we are trying to arrange the pieces to make shapes we know.

Geometry in our everyday lives!



Mrs O'Hanlon brought a beehive in to show us. We were in the middle of our geometry lesson.
Here are some of our comments and observations:
Veni: Bees are clever because they make hexagons. They put the baby bees in the hexagons.
Ayva: The hexagon shapes looked perfect.
Jamie: I found out that the hexagon shapes were tessellating.
